This video was just released this morning of what my coaches and mentors in life were able to do for their father. I mentioned this in a previous post called “Selfless People”. I wanted to post this video and give a little bit of back story as to why they did this for their father.
Clay’s dad works as a manager for a contracting company and discovered one of the crews that works for this contracting company was dealing drugs on site and using company vehicles to further their drug selling business. Once he found this out he mentioned it to the higher ups and they eventually said they could not fire this crew because they made the company to much money. Standing on morals and principals he could no longer work for a company that stood for such careless activities. He gave his two weeks notice and quit (this is after 15 or so years). Once he quit he had to give back his company truck and now is without a truck.
So while Clay’s dad is now early retired he still requires a truck because he would like to further his landscaping business. Can’t do that without a truck. So Clay and his wife Liz found out what kind of truck he would really like, down to the colour and options (without him knowing exactly why) and bought it for him.
The rest of the story is told in the video. Such an inspiration and an example of honouring your parents which is something we should always be doing. Doesn’t mean it needs to be done with a new truck but in this case it was perfect. Enjoy…

Is the point of the video to say how profitable one can be with an Amway Business?
I thought the point of the video, and the point of your post, is to honor our parents. And for this couple, a way of doing that was to buy something that their dad needed, and that he wanted, and had no way on his own of getting.
Making money is one thing. But if you don’t have a REASON to do so, then, what the heck? I think the video is to inspire us to think a little differently than how we currently think.
As the ol’ saying goes, “Whatever you look for, you see what you are looking for.” And I choose to be inspired. Silly me.
That is exactly what the video was meant for… just seems other people cannot take it for that fact and as you said they “…you see what you are looking for”.
With that I’m closing the comments on this thread. The point is as Bridgett mentioned to help inspire and think a little differently than how we currently think. To have that selfless attitude and servant mentality towards our parents, friends, family etc…
Not trying to be confrontational, but the video makes reference that they are able to do this ( buy a 37,000 vehicle in cash for someone else) because of their involvement with Worldwide and Amway.
I was just curious as to their current pin/Eagle level that allows them to do this, that’s all. In another thread you give a ballpark income for a double eagle ruby. I was just looking for a reference point which enables people to do this type of thing for their families.
Weather’s great out on the prairies, so have a great weekend!
So I have to ask again, what level could one expect to be able to do this, and are Clay & Liz beyond that? I guessed at least platinum, maybe emerald?
I just never heard of people being able to do that with an Amway income. I’m still amazed that they have built the business where they were able to throw that together!
There are so many factors I cannot answer that. I don’t know their financial portfolio and honestly don’t care. The example they set was an amazing example and people in and out of this business could learn from that.
There are a lot of things that people have not heard about Amway because they are so blinded by the negative. There are also a lot of things people have not heard about this Alberta market and just how strong and profitable we build this business. It’s okay to not understand it, just understand the integrity and the type of people we work with. Understand the example that is being set.
That video…I’m grinning from ear to ear. How wonderful. So fun!
Pretty amazing. Cannot wait to do something similar for my parents. Have some pretty awesome ideas for them, won’t post here because they read this blog! lol
Truly Unbelievable! How exciting to buy a truck for your pops!
I gotta ask, do they have jobs outside of their business? I found it interesting that they attribute their success to Worldwide and not Amway, but that’s not being critical, that’s probably just a lack of understanding on my part since I’m not involved.
What level are they? They have to be at least Platinums. Emerald maybe? That’s fantastic!
Really a dream come true for many!
Their success is attributed to Worldwide because Worldwide is what teaches the success principals not Amway Global. Honoring your parents doesn’t come from Amway Global, it comes from being around an association (Worldwide) where people think on that same kind of level. Where people are selfless and have much bigger, larger goals then just making money for the sake of making money. Pretty awesome to hang around people like that, and there will be more stories like that in the coming months. A few other couples will be doing some pretty amazing things in the next coming months.
