Being Servants

Today was a pretty awesome day because we were able to meet up with a lady my mom has been talking with at the Shoppers Drug Mart in Kamloops about getting some replacement handles and knobs for her Queen Cookware that had been passed down to her by her parents. 

This lady was given the Queen Cookware from Amway Global 23 years ago and she is STILL using it.  She said the cookware it’s self is spotless and looks like brand new the only problem is because of how long it’s been used some of the handles are wearing and need to be replaced.  That’s where we come in.  We went and visited her at Shoppers this afternoon and with my iPod Touch I was able to create her an order right then and there with the replacement handles.  How awesome is that.  She was so excited and impressed we could do everything from the iPod.  If I had an iPhone I could have processed her order right then and there but I have a Blackberry that is paid for and I’m not going to pay for an iPhone right now.  Either way I got home to my parents and was able to create her a new customer account and then submit her order.  She was a few dollars short of free shipping so we threw in a few promotional products to say thanks for the opportunity to serve her. 

Now that just goes to show you that people love the products even 20+ years later and most of all shows how you can really serve your customers.  Do we expect her to be a customer that orders every month? Probably not but we’ve shown her the awesome customer service that we provide to our clients and threw in a few extra’s for the order.

This business really is fun. We get to meet a lot of new people, we get to serve people where there is a need or want and we get to feel good by giving great customer service that you cannot get elsewhere.

Earth Hour

Are you participating by reducing your energy consumption for an hour this Saturday?  At 8:30pm on Saturday March 27th 2010 the world will be participating in what is called Earth Hour where people will turn their lights off for one hour and stand against climate change.  What I love about this event is seeing the pictures of the world before and after and the reduction of lights.  I’ll be sure to post a picture when I see it.

While I’m not 100% sure this will help with climate change I do like the idea of trying to consume less energy where possible.  I always try my best, and sometimes fail, at being a good steward of reducing my carbon footprint.  I know the one company we contract with, Amway Global, does a great job of this by using wind power in some of their factories where they create our Legacy of Clean products.  They also ship products using post consume recyclable cardboard boxes, airbags that will compost in the landfill within 5-6 months, and packing peanuts that are made from corn starch that basically wash down the drain.  I’m proud to contract with that company!

Real Cheques

So I figured I’d give an update on the kinds of cheques we receive from Amway Global. This isn’t our total for the month of March because we’ve already cashed some retail profit cheques. I’m not doing this to brag by any means, I’m doing this to show there is real money here if you are willing to put in the work.  It doesn’t take long to make a cheque like this.  It basically took us around 3-4 months and now we have a residual income of over $500 a month.

What would you do with an extra $571 a month?  Would that be a car payment?  Maybe a cell phone bill for some ;) ? Would that help pay down some debt quicker? How about a trip to Vegas?  A friend of ours just bought a ticket to Vegas (Flight and Hotel) for 4 days, under $400 bucks!  A full day at the spa.  How about a new appliance, maybe a cheap one.  Maybe a Netbook or an Apple iPhone.  Maybe a new Coach purse for all you purse ladies out there.  Maybe it would help you donate more to a favorite charity? Maybe give more to the church? Maybe help a friend in need.  Really what would an extra $571 dollars do?

I’m pretty confident none of you out there received a $500 dollar raise this year at work.  I know I sure as heck didn’t.  So I found a different wait to get that raise and I’m thankful for it.  So yes, what we do is real and yes it pays.

1000 Pin Crossing

My Beautiful Wife and I Crossing as 1000 Pins

Saturday evening we crossed stage as new 1000 pins.  It’s basically a volume pin from Amway Global.  It’s not a World Wide Dreambuilder parameter like Eagle is.  Really means we are on our way to building a solid business and really that wasn’t even where we finished last month, we hit 1000 pin and blew past it. 

I’m more excited about building a solid business and really investing time into people so that they can also build the solid business we have.  While it’s simple what we do it does require hard work and effort.  It’s like price and prize.  If you want that big prize then you need to pay the price.  That’s success, are you willing to pay the price?

We are on our way to the next step 2500 pin! 

 

 

Fly Like an Eagle

Well Steve Miller captured it perfectly in his song “Fly Like an Eagle” which totally represents the goal we have recently achieved in our business. 

 

Yes we are “Eagles” which for 75% (EDIT: previously had 99.9% but there are quite a few of you who do understand) of you reading this will mean nothing to you.  However it means a HUGE deal to us because we’ve obtained a level in this business that only 5% of the people obtain.  We obtained it because we worked hard at something we 110% believe in.  There is nothing you can say to me that can tell us this does not work.  Oh it works alright.  We’ve seen it first hand in our direct coaches, their coaches, their coaches, and so on.  We are building an amazing team of people who want more out of life, people who are looking for coaching and mentorship.  You have no idea how amazing it is to sow into people that are so open and deserving of coaching and mentorship.  We are in the business of changing lives and we are doing that right now.  It’s very humbling.

We recently attended an organizational open for Mike and Brandie Wagner where David Payne came in to show us an amazing plan.  David spoke his heart out and really has sown so much time into Mike and Brandie and for that they’ve built an amazing Emerald business.  Without them building the business we would not be where we are.  We would not be investing time into people, helping people realize the potential they have and just helping them build amazing relationships with other people and with themselves.  We would not have the amazing marriage we have now, no it wasn’t bad before, however it’s 10x’s better now because of this business.  When you associate with people that have awesome marriages and that really serve each other as a couple, you become that.  You are the product of the books you read and the people you associate with.  I believe in that statement more then you can even know! 

We WILL achieve the huge goals and dreams we have set out because we have them written down and plastered over our condo, and we associate with like minded people.  We believe fully in what we do which is 95% investing into people by coaching and mentoring and 5% a business vehicle.

The Guthrie Train is moving on, and we have a Double Eagle vision!
