Artistry Kicking it Into High Gear

TeresaPalmerArtistry by Amway announced yesterday they have a new partnership with it’s brand.  Australian actress Teresa Palmer (@tez_palmer). Teresa will be the new Global Face of Artistry skincare and color through to 2014.

This is a major milestone for Artistry I think as it unites the brand across the world.  Artistry is already one of the top 5 prestigious brands and this helps put that recognition in line with other major players advertising.  This along with the recent Miss America 2012 winner Laura Kaeppeler has Artistry very busy at the start of 2012!

Amway Insider quoted Teresa by saying “I’m delighted to work with a brand like ARTISTRY that provides independence to so many women around the world, and does so with amazing products that help us look good and feel good about ourselves,”

Here is a a video introducing Teresa for Artistry.

Miss America 2012 + Artistry

Tonight is the Miss America 2012 pageant which Artistry from Amway is a huge part of.  The Miss America Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.  The Artistry brand is the exclusive skincare and cosmetics provider for Miss America.  Giving back to such a large organization and providing scholarships for these young women is quite an awesome thing.

Teresa Scanlan has been the official spokesperson of Amway and Artistry where she has brought even more recognition to a great brand of skin care around the world.  She reflects on her year in the below video.

Check below for some behind the scenes videos from Day’s 1, 2, and 3.  I didn’t know they did all this work days before the actual T.V. show.

Christmas in November

20111125_200419While we don’t do that many marketing events, the one marketing event I look forward to each year is the Christmas in November.  Its a great way to expose a lot of the products that we have and educate all the current and future customers.  There is a very large focus on the Ribbon collection and I have to say I’m quite impressed with that collection this year.  They’ve really stepped it up with some great well known brands and quality products.

This year I was voluntold by my wife that I’d be Santa.  This is the first time I’ve ever dressed up as Santa and well it’s pretty uncomfortable filling in the big guy’s shoes.  However when some of the kids came up and wanted a candy cane and really thought I was Santa, that made the fears go away and I got into it.  To see the kids eyes light up was an amazing feeling.

I have to say a huge thank you to our sponsors who put on the event and our team that worked with the other teams to man their station of edibles.  The edibles were a huge success as people love the various bars we have.  There were facial stations, hand and arm massage stations, make over stations, health stations and so much more.  A huge success with the amount of guests that showed up and comments made.  It was a first class event.

Amway Posts $1 Billion in Sales for the Month of June

One-Billion-DollarsI don’t often get the whole “Amway, isn’t that a pyramid?” or “your still in that thing?”, In fact I’ve only had the “P” word come up once, and it was clearly by someone who had no idea what a pyramid was and was just using it as an excuse to make themselves look better.  Anyway, despite that, Amway is on track to break more records and in June posted $1 Billion in sales for the month of June.

Sales are up overall, including North America and Amway is on track to break even more records at the end of its fiscal in September.  So why is $1 Billion in sales a big deal for Amway? It’s the first time in 52 years they have broken the $1 Billion in one month.  They continue to be a powerhouse in the Direct Selling market as well as online shopping which they continue to be number one in online beauty and health sales.

This is great news especially in an economy where most companies are struggling to post numbers like and struggle to grow year after year through recessions.  I know many companies in around the Edmonton area that continue to struggle, let alone the rest of the country.  This is also great news because I know I’m involved with a company that continues to grow which only means positive results for my wife and I.

Again, think Amway is just a rinky dink company?  Better think again.

Canadians Looking for a Business

EntrepreneurshipThe latest RBC Canadian consumer outlook states that 1 in 5 Canadians are thinking about starting their own business in the next 5 years.  To be honest I’m not surprised by this news article and the mentality of people these days.  People are looking for other opportunities outside of their full time jobs that hardly pay them enough.  Without question I hear it almost every day that people complain about not enough money, have bills to pay, not enough time in a day, want to spend more time with my family, I’m working two jobs just to make it, and it goes on and on and on.  Don’t believe me? Start opening your ears and you’ll hear it as well.

So out of this article what’s the biggest challenge to starting a business, getting enough money to start or expand.  28% of people said this was a concern.  It also says that 14% of people worry about getting clients and others feel it would take to long to turn a profit.  To be honest those numbers are pretty low when it comes to concerns and shouldn’t stop people from exploring the potential to reach whatever goals and dreams they have.

I just happen to know of a business opportunity that’s got a pretty low cost to running a business and know a few people who have been successful in helping others reach those types of goals and dreams.  Woah, low and behold that opportunity is the Amway business opportunity.  Surprised?  If you’ve been reading this blog you shouldn’t be, if your new maybe you are then.  What other business can you start that doesn’t require a loan at the bank of some business grant from the government?  Not very many, in fact I don’t know any outside of this opportunity.

Our business is backed by an amazing company that has been around for over 50 years and is continually growing in revenue year after year.  So if your worried Amway is going to pack it in with the reception, you better give your head a shake.  It’s not going anywhere but up.

We’ve got great brands such as Nutrilite and Artistry that are tops when compared to the competitors and are products that people use every single day month after month, so clients are not hard to find, at least for us anyway.  Our business is based on helping others succeed first before we do and coaching & mentoring people through the business as many who start don’t know how to run a business.  I know the government sure isn’t mentoring you through a business that’s for sure.

Anyway the thing is people are looking for opportunity outside of what they are doing and that’s what entrepreneurship is cool. You are given that freedom to build however large of a company you want with little roadblocks and restrictions, and because you run a business your entitled to some pretty substantial tax benefits as well.  I’m not going to sit here and say you have to build this business, but this business does work and compared to other start-ups is pretty darn cheap to get into and has mentorship like no other with World Wide Dreambuilders.
