The room last night was just jam packed, I’d guess there was well over 1200 people who showed up.  People had to park over 5 blocks away.  You can tell this market is continually expanding function to function.  There are new faces all the time and it’s great to see.  Brad has the ability to speak to the people just starting and also the people who have been in awhile and invoke that burning desire for something more, whatever that looks like for them.

I was as always quite impacted by Brad.  I know that what we are doing is something that will impact a lot of people in a positive way.  From giving people freedom from their jobs, allowing people to achieve whatever goals they have (big and small), raising money for a great charity that Amway supports; Easter Seals, to just simply giving people a few extra hundred dollars a month.  You cannot tell me this does not work, it does and we are proof of that.  I have a wife that gets up when she wants, doesn’t have to answer to anyone but herself, gets to impact people in ways others cannot and is stress free.  Not a bad start at all I think.

Mr. Duncan will be in Kalispell, Montana October 13th and while that is totally unnecessary for us to go, we know the impact he has on us, not to mention the great association time we will get from other leaders in our organization that will be there.

Lastly if you are ever invited to hear Brad speak, I would highly recommend you go and listen to what he has to say.  Sure you may not agree with everything he says and that’s 100% okay, but you will be impacted by at least one thing he says.

People continued to arrive through the morning and as of 9 am I think there are around 150 people so far. I know most of you reading this blog won’t understand why we would line up overnight for a speaker however that’s okay. You don’t need to understand

Going to be a great day today!

We are so excited to be almost front of the line so that we can be impacted more then if we were at the back of a room full of 1200 people. Some may say it’s weird but so is waiting in line at Best Buy for the newest Halo game.

We basically came after we had some training with a team member so we were not wasting our time by being here. I was also able to take the day off work, the “benefit” of working lots of OT. So yes this is the best use of our time

It’s going to be a great night later on, I’ll get a picture of the line when I wake up and then again before we go in. it will be huge!

So Monday we fly to Seaside Oregon to attend moving up, I’ve talked a bit about it before and really I have no idea what to expect.  I’ve heard some pretty amazing things come out of it from previous people that went and we are pumped to get the higher level of association and just get around people that are moving on in their business and see what it is they’ve done to create such success.  I’m really excited to explore the Oregon coast though, I’ve heard it’s pretty amazing and cannot wait to get up and go for a run along the beach.  Love it!

Friday we will head back inland to Portland where the Duncan Family Reunion will take place.  This is where Lindsay went to her first function and where I almost didn’t let her go because of my stubbornness and scepticism.  Now I’ll get to experience this function for the first time as official Eagles’ even though we are Double Eagles (we were not Double Eagle’s during qualification month for Family Reunion).  Either way it will be nice to sit at the front of the stage and just be able to soak in the function from the front.  I know we had a discussion earlier on this blog about it doesn’t matter where you sit its all the same information.  That is 100% true it is the same information, however it’s how it’s delivered and for me personally I’d much rather be at the front where I can see the speaker live instead of via the screen and I get to feel more impacted because its like the speaker is talking to you.  Same idea about concerts, why do people fight to get at the front of the row for a concert?  They feel the experience is better right at the front where the musician is literally sweating over them.  Same idea.

Its going to be a great weekend and week coming up and I could not be more excited to celebrate our growth but more importantly get as much information as we can coming out of Moving Up so we can share with our team and the leaders that are growing and riding our coat tails.  We have a responsibility to our team to help build them into leaders so they can lead their own organization into greatness. 

I love this market we are in and you betcha it’s different from anything you’ve seen.  While others out there may have quit, or said it just didn’t work for them or what not, I’m sorry for that.  However we’ve got something special out here which is why it’s catching the attention of World Wide Dreambuilders and even Amway Global Canada is saying “what are you guys doing out in Alberta??”.  The answer really is being CORE and doing what other WWDB Leaders have done before us.  Its working so why change it?

So how the heck to do I sum up 6 1/2 hours of pure inspiration, success, and motivation?  I can’t.  To be honest I really cannot and there is no way I can do justice with what I’ll say here.  It was something that you had to experience.  What was great about what Brad talked about was it applied to everyone and not just what we do.  There were things Brad said that everyone could apply to their every day life which just shows the kind of servant heart he has.

I think the biggest thing I took away from last night was to not let anyone steal your dream.  What does that mean?  Means no matter what kind of dream or goal you have set for your life don’t let someone tell you that you can’t. ‘Can’t’ is a negative/broke person’s word.  ‘Can’t’ is for the weak minded people that just use excuses for their failures and they try to bring you down by telling you that you cannot do something.  Another thing more related to our business is that every business has negative stuff about it, someone is always willing to write something about anything.  Check out one of the largest companies in the world, Wallmart, and do a quick search on Google about how many law suits they’ve had.  All successful companies have this and Amway Global isn’t the first OR the last.  One more thing I heard that really made sense is when you listen to someone and they say they are exhausted, have a look at their life and I bet they are not prospering or achieving the things they set out in life.  Successful people who are actually moving forward in their life don’t use the excuse of being exhausted.

Now did I agree with everything that Brad said last night? Of course not. I don’t think Brad expects everyone to just follow every single thing he says and again I don’t believe in everything he says and that’s okay.  However I will listen to a lot of what he has to say about this business and how to move forward with my own business.  He’s done it with less product, harder times, less mentorship, less coaching, less everything.  He’s edified our coaching in such an amazing way because our leadership is unlike all others in this industry.  I’ve talked about it before where our leaders are building this with integrity, with honesty and with a great foundation. 

There were a lot of great things that Brad talked about and some I’m still processing because there was so much he talked about.  He did a great night owl afterwards where he answered a lot of questions people had.  Questions about his life, his struggles, his vision, people’s specific struggles, and so much more.  Brad has such a huge servant heart and did not have to stay up until 2:30am talking to us that’s for sure.  He does it because he loves it.  You cannot fake 6 1/2 hours that’s for damn sure!

Don’t let ANYONE steal your dream!

This is awesome. I mean really where else on this planet do people do this to listen to success?  Sure people line up for boxing day, movies but really what do you get out of it?  2 hours of entertainment.  We are getting success principals that will last a lifetime.  So will I complain about being outside?  Not at all.  It just adds to our awesome story we are building!

Brad is a very charismatic person who will make you laugh, make you think about your life, but most of all will inspire you regardless if you are building this business or not.  Brad’s story from where he came from to where he is now is truly an inspiring one.  I’m excited to hear what he has to say this time.  Last time he was here the night owl for all the business owners went until 3am I believe.  Some great teaching for sure.

We have quite a few guests coming to see him, people that are interested to learn what we are doing.  Most of them we are not prospecting for this business they are just curious of what we are doing and what better person to tell them then Brad Duncan.  If you get a chance to hear Brad speak I highly suggest you take up the offer.  Like I said, you don’t have to be building this business or interested in building this business to take something away from what he has to say.

I’ll be blogging from the line up on Tuesday as people will be there lining up bright and early.  Some people will be lined up 12 hours before he even speaks.  Crazy, but that’s how much respect people have for him to have that “Front Row” Mentality.

We’ve turned people away from building the business as well as people have also disqualified themselves from working with us.  As you’ve seen from my previous posts we are about building a highly accountable, motivated team that wants more to live then the average.  They want to achieve dreams and goals bigger then what their current income can afford.  They want to achieve the dreams they had when they were kids, and why shouldn’t they?  Why shouldn’t people have have those types of dreams?  The reason why people don’t is because they only have dreams their income can give them or their credit can give them.  That’s sad and that’s something we help people get out of their head.  You CAN dream big, so find the means to do it!  We have that.

When we launch someone into business we really spend a lot of time with them.  We don’t just “sign them up” and then leave say here you go! have fun.  Maybe some people have but that is NOT US!  We are about investing time into people who are willing to be coached and mentored so they can achieve so much more.  True, there is a business model that we attach to all this coaching and mentoring, there has to be otherwise you have nothing to apply what we’ve taught you.  When people get it, they get it, they really do and they are all in.  They are the 2% of the population that understands there is more to live then the average.  They REFUSE to be part of the 98% of people out there who just live each day the same as the last day, over and over and over again.

I cannot wait to launch more people who have the right attitude, desire and willingness to do whatever it takes to obtain the things in life they want.  Its these people we are excited to work with and these people we will be spending a lot of time with because they deserve it!
