Meeting People Where They Are At

One of the things that sets us apart from others is that we meet people with where they are at.  We are not going to force people into something they don’t want to do and we are not going to force people to do something for our own gain.  We are about impacting people as I’ve said many times before and to impact people in a great way we have to meet people with where they are at and really invest time and energy into them.  We need to take a look at the situation and set a plan of action and help them move forward.

We’ve had some interesting things happen with some of our team members and the biggest thing that we’ve done is really meet them where they are at and help them from there.  I think people that cannot do this really set themselves up for failure and maybe that is why they fail at building this business.  There is no reason to push people into things they are not ready for as it only makes you look like an ass and makes you look like you don’t care about what their needs are.  We care about each and every single person on our team and want nothing but the best for them.  I mean honestly if we didn’t do you think we’d have a successful team?

I’m so blessed to have great upline coaches and mentors who have amazing visions for their future and really want to meet people with where they are at.  It’s this reason why we are building such successful teams that don’t just fall apart, teams that we continue to sow into and continue to build stronger and stronger relationships with.  That’s the key, if you have a crappy relationship then it’s just game over.  Work on the relationships and help people with a game plan to move forward in life, that’s where it’s at.  I love the fact we get the chance to help people and help them build a vision for their life.  What could be more greater then that?

Hard to Stay Motivated at Work

JobAs I sit here at work during my allotted 1 hour lunch time, I find it harder and harder to stay motivated at work. After seeing a board plan by David Payne and how he’s built this amazing amazing Edmonton business with amazing coaches who are just moving up in a big way, it’s hard to come to a job and put in the best hours of your day.

I mean really take a hard look at where you are in life. You give your best 8 hours to a job that doesn’t honestly give a rats ass about you. Then you come home and try to give some quality time to your family. Now that’s IF you don’t have to stay late, however most people put more then 8 hours in. Its just depressing. I guess if I want to turn this around into something positive then I can look at it this way. Coming to work is just motivation to help me build this business bigger and bigger so that I don’t have to trade time for money any longer. I’m tired of working at a 1:1 ration where I trade one unit of time for 1 unit of money. I want to be working at a 1:X ratio where I trade 1 unit of time for MULTIPLE amounts of money. That’s called the power of duplication and its that which I am working towards so I don’t have to be a “JOB” person any longer.

It’s this reason why I listen and read motivational podcasts and books before and after work. I want to put positive stuff into my brain, not negative JOB mentality stuff. What comes out of your mouth is a product of your input and I like the positive input I’m putting into my brain. Its funny cause people start saying, you’re different. And you know what, I am!

Ask yourself this, what are you doing with your best 8 hours of the day? What would you rather be doing and why are you not doing it?

Mentorship and Coaching

I’ve mentioned before the 95% / 5% split of what we do.  5% of what we do is contract with Amway Global to provide the products that we sell.  However what makes us different from a lot of other training programs for Amway Global and quite frankly business’s around the world is the 95% of what we do which is the mentorship and coaching.

You take a look at any job you have currently and ask yourself will my boss coach me or mentor me so that I can become better then him?  The answer 99% of the time is going to be no.  We are all stuck in jobs where we punch in and punch out and make the guy at the top, the CEO, all the money.  We trade our time for money on a 1 to 1 ratio and that’s it.  Sound familiar?

We are sewing into and associating with some pretty amazing people who all have great marriages, who love each other fully, who are successful and who want nothing more then for us to succeed.  I don’t know about you but I enjoy hanging around people who are successful.  You are the product of your own environment and if you don’t change that then you won’t change.  Meaning if you and your friends are all just living paycheck to paycheck, paycheck to paycheck, then you will continue to live paycheck to paycheck, paycheck to paycheck.  I’m sorry but if I have an opportunity to change that, I’M GOING TO TRY IT.  In the words of Dave Severen, “Find out what other people are doing, AND DO THE OPPOSITE!”

I’ve been blessed by our coaches who provide us with so much guidance and mentorship it’s unbelievable.  I don’t know any other job that has provided me with this in my lifetime.  So if you ask me why I am so excited and why I want to share this with other people that’s exactly why.  Do I necessarily care about selling you products?  No, I care about seeing you succeed and making something for yourself, changing your life so that you can have an even better marriage, a better friendship, a better support system and a better life.  The products are just the vehicle for how we get there, but the coaching and mentorship is what will change our lives and make us better people so that we can help others do the same.

That is what sets us apart from all others out there.

Cafe Christmas Marketing Event

Lots of People Christmas ShoppingWow, we just had a Christmas Marketing evening this evening, well yesterday night as I write this at 1:15am.  We had 460 people turn out for the Edmonton Christmas Event.  We had different boths, Nutrilite, Legacy of Clean, an Artistry Facial Centre, and a bunch of other booths showing the type of products we have, the Ribbon Gift Cards and so so much more.

It’s so awesome to see the traction building here in Edmonton.  A lot of people came out to see that we are not a bunch of weird people, we are not a cult, we have great products that have a great price and are BETTER then what you can get from all those other stores you have to wait in line at.  Once people actually see that we are just selling products that you buy anyway they totally get it.  A lot of the people have already seen the plan or maybe they are just shopping for Christmas gifts, but they just get it.  They realize the time saved by not having to get in a car, drive down to the store, sift through all the rows of product, wait in line, and then have to drive home.  They can get all these awesome products right from the comfort of their living room.

One quick think about the market here in Edmonton, Brad Duncan mentioned when he was here a few weeks ago that he’s not seen the World Wide Dreambuilder / Amway Global business take shape as it is here.  It’s the hard work and qualification process that is really pumping out solid teams with hardly anyone backing out or quitting.  We don’t want 98%’ers, we want the 2%’ers, the winners, the people who have a need, want and desire in life to make something for themselves.

I just have to say tonight was such a great event put on by the Wagners they are such great people, great coaches and great mentors.  Showing us this business really does work!
