Miss America 2012 + Artistry

amway_miss_america_02

Tonight is the Miss America 2012 pageant which Artistry from Amway is a huge part of.  The Miss America Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.  The Artistry brand is the exclusive skincare and cosmetics provider for Miss America.  Giving back to such a large organization and providing scholarships for these young women is quite an awesome thing.

Teresa Scanlan has been the official spokesperson of Amway and Artistry where she has brought even more recognition to a great brand of skin care around the world.  She reflects on her year in the below video.

Check below for some behind the scenes videos from Day’s 1, 2, and 3.  I didn’t know they did all this work days before the actual T.V. show.

Miss America and Artistry Once Again

Tonight at 9pm Eastern, 7pm Mountain and 6pm Pacific, The Miss America pageant will take place and again like last year Artistry partners up with them. News release from last year.

Here is an except of what some of this means:

“The newly crowned Miss America will be the proud endorser of ARTISTRY skin care and cosmetics. Imagine the credibility and popularity this will create for ARTISTRY and Amway Global in ads, catalogues, and on the website. Just think how positively customers and prospects will react to this!

ARTISTRY will be the official skin care and cosmetics provider for the Miss America pageant – that means contestants will learn how to put their best face forward with ARTISTRY products – and feel confident they’re doing the best they can for their skin.

The ARTISTRY scholarship, sponsored by Amway Global, will also allow women to shine. For the next two years, the ARTISTRY scholarship will continue to empower American women to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Being Creative

Today Lindsay is doing a SpaCafe event for a friend of ours that is getting married next year.  What’s creative about this SpaCafe is that all proceeds from client orders will go directly back to the bride-to-be.  Lindsay thought it would be a great way to raise some money doing a mini-spa type of event so that the bride could use that money for whatever she wanted for her wedding.  Be it a spa day, nails, facial, etc…

She brought over a lot of the new Artistry products which are 1 of the top 5 prestigious brands out there and I believe she let people see, feel, try, etc…  To be honest I don’t know exactly what she does. I’ve never attended one of these SpaCafe’s myself.  It’s not really my cup of tea hehe.  A huge thanks to all the guests who showed up and supported the bride by making some orders, after all the afternoon was all about the bride.  Isn’t it always :) ?

I just love how we have so much flexibility with our business and what we can do with it.  We’ve decided to be selfless and give back all these proceeds to the bride as I mentioned before.  That’s awesome!  Being an entrepreneur gives you all kinds of choices and I’m glad we have the power to make them.  Lindsay loves these events because she gets to interact with new people about something she really is passionate about.  This is just one of the awesome things we get to do.  I love you Lindsay for being such an amazing person, giving and selfless!
