Looking Forward to a Free Wife

I’m really looking forward to having a free wife this year.  One that does not put on the pantyhose, skirt and nice blouse for some boss man and then comes home and puts on the sweats for me.  I mean honestly, how much does it suck that we every day give our second best to our spouse?  Shouldn’t we give the best hours of the day to each other instead of giving that to “the man”?

My wife’s office closed on December 24th last year and so between that and January 18th she had a few weeks off to just enjoy a mini-freedom so to speak.  It honestly was amazing because for the first time in a long time since we’ve been together she was relaxed and wasn’t tense or stressed after coming home from a long day at work.  Now it wasn’t like that every single day when she got home when she was working, but if you averaged it out it was enough.  It also wasn’t like it was horrible and I didn’t want to see or talk to her, it was just different.  You really see it when your wife doesn’t come home from work all tense, she’s just been out either shopping, or cleanup up during the day, sleeping in, or just relaxing reading a good book for the afternoon.  That really changes someone’s temperament.

Now don’t get me wrong here I feel women should work if they so choose and they should have all the same rights and equality that men have.  Having my wife home is NOT about taking that away from her, having my wife home home means she can have time to do the things she loves and to be able to raise our kids without putting them in daycare.  I know some friends that already have this in their lives, some people in this business and some people not in this business.  I’m honestly in envy, however I won’t need to be for long because Lindsay will have that this year.  Stay tuned to this blog and you’ll see pictures of her “Freedom Day”!

Our first priority with our business was to free up Lindsay’s time so she can be a stay at home mom.  We will NOT let someone else raise our kids, we will do the raising thank you very much.  So if you have the same kind of thought then wouldn’t you be willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen?  Can your job today do that for you?  Maybe it can, but let me take it a step further, can your job (where you trade time for money), can that job free up both you and your wife so you can spend all day with your kids?  Personally I’ve not seen something out there that can do this.  I believe without a doubt this can be done. Why do I think that?  Because our personal coach, their coach, their coach, and so on and so on have done it.  Our personal coach, she retired from her job in August of this past year and it took them less then a year.  She can now stay at home and raise their kids when they come and continue to build an amazing team.  How does someone do that?  Through coaching and mentoring, making smart decisions with your life and getting around other people who think the same way.  Power of association.

Lastly in three years or less, depends on how hard we decide to build our business, I will be a stay at home dad along with my stay at home wife.  How flippin cool is that?  My future family and kids are so important to me that I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.  I have a goal and dream of giving my kids the very best hours of the day, not the second best.  My family deserves that, doesn’t yours?
