Inspiring people is something I’ve always wanted to do however never thought I could do it. It wasn’t until yesterday that I found out that I’ve changed someones life possibly for the better. It has nothing to do with the business yet it has everything to do with it. I’ll explain that later.
Yesterday an old friend of mine who we always seems to fall in and out of contact got back in contact with me and asked me how Lindsay and I have been able to knock down so much debt in such a short time. They wanted to let them know what my secret was and if I could give them some inspiration. First of all I think what is attracting this is that we’ve become very transparent with our debt. If you’ve followed this blog for the last few weeks you’ll see what I mean. We are trying to be real with debt and have a transparent attitude towards it because people cannot relate to you if you say “we’ve paid off some debt”. Well what does that mean?? Did you pay of $1000? $10,000? $80,000? I’ll tell you right now that we are embarrassed about how much debt we have but at the same time we’ve taken on a more leadership type of personality where we want to tell people how much debt. This in turn will inspire people that are in the same boat as us to get out of debt. It also helps keep us accountable because if we go back to our old ways we are just hypocrites.
So going back to the story this friend asked us what we did and I told them. They in turn sent that information to another friend of theirs who right away replied back “I’ve ordered the book you recommended” and was all excited about reading it and also doing some of the things we told them we did. Now that is awesome! I love being able to help people and I owe it all to World Wide Dreambuilders and our amazing amazing coaches that have given us so much. We’ve been able to not only help ourselves but help others and that is exactly what World Wide Dreambuilders is all about. How can I say anything bad about WWDB? I cannot because it’s given me so much, and it’s changed my life in such a positive way.
While this person we helped is not a client or in the business, we were able to help them regardless and that is all that matters to me. I’m hoping this blog too helps people, inspires people or just gets people thinking and dreaming.
