Fine Lines

It’s quite interesting the fine lines between your choices. Take for example yesterday Lindsay and were victims of someone who ran a red light and in turn got into an accident because if it. Awesome right? No not really, but if I look back at the decisions that led up it, it was a fine line between my original path and the path I actually took.

I had missed my original turn off and so I figured we could take a different one. Well that seemed to be backed up with traffic so I decided to loop around and take my originally destined route. Well because of that choice it resulted in an accident. I’ve had some bad luck with accidents in the past year, both not my fault but still. Am I being taught a lesson? Is Someone trying to tell me something? I do think there is some higher power out there and believe in a God. I personally believe things happen for a reason be it a lesson or be it Karma for something you did in the past.

Woah, I got all spiritual there. Really I wanted to talk on the fine lines and I see it also with people that come into our lives or things like this accident that happen. I think it’s these fine lines that keep things interesting in our lives and really make us look back and see where we came from. You are where you are today because of decisions you’ve made in the past. Whether they where decisions yesterday, or years ago, you are where you are because of your decisions. I often think people are careless with their decisions and to some extent that’s okay, because we all go through times where we just want to be random and do whatever. I guess these careless decisions I’m talking about are ones like you’ve been hearing in the news lately. People going into huge amounts of debt, living paycheque to paycheque, being irresponsible with money, etc.

Don’t get me wrong I do think some of these things can be beyond peoples control but a lot of the time I think people don’t really look ahead and just go with what’s right at the time. He’ll I’ve been and still am guilty of it. However think I’m much more conscious of my decisions these days. We are looking to start a family soon and that is always on my mind these days and how my actions today could affect my future family.

Not sure how to sum this post up, but fine lines are interesting to review and see where you are today because of them. They may give you answers to where you are in your life and why. Going forward make sure you make smart decisions and think about the implications of them.

Obtaining Your Dream

dreams Friday night we were able to attend our coaches “Open” where Christine, our upline Sapphire did an amazing talk on success and really just opened hear heart and spoke from it.  The biggest thing I took away from the other night was on dreams and how fanatical you need to be in order to obtain them.  Now this isn’t anything new however it’s how it’s presented that really has the impact.  These are basic success principals that can apply to your life, apply to any business or whatever you have going on.

These are the questions you need to ask yourself about your dream:

  1. Do you desire it with all your heart?
  2. Do you vividly imagine it all the time?
  3. Do you enthusiastically talk about it all the time?
  4. Do you fervently believe in your dream?
  5. Do you treat it like a matter of life + death?

I have to say a lot of people do not really treat their dreams in this manner and it’s exactly why they are unsuccessful in obtaining them.  We have some pretty huge dreams and things we want to achieve and I can tell you that we can answer yes to all of these things.  My wife especially is a yes to all of these things.  You can see the fire in her eyes and the raw emotion she has when she talks about our dreams and what we want to achieve.  As a guy I tend to keep it more inside which I have to work on displaying it a bit more.  One of my wife’s love languages is words of affirmation so me showing it a bit more helps instill belief in me and that I too feel the same way. Which I do.

I can honestly say aside from our business, the association we get around is so powerful, it honestly is.  We hang around people that have the fruit on the tree’s so to speak, people that have amazing friendships that are without status, amazing marriages and people who have obtained the huge dreams they have. Yes there have been some marriage issues with a few people in this business, I won’t dispute that.  But honestly NOBODY is perfect and “life” happens.  However I’d say the amount of failed relationships and marriages is A LOT less outside this business.  I won’t put stats or whatever on it because I honestly don’t know and don’t care.  I see what I see and love doing what we do because it’s amazing.

Go out there and obtain that dream!

Fired Up About Life

Yeah that’s right, Lindsay and I are just fired up about life right now.  We’ve got our dreams and goals written down, we are busting down debt like nobodies business and working with some amazing amazing people.  You really have no idea what it feels like to be associated with people that are on the same path in life as you and are also fired up about life.  We just got home from some great association time and while I want to go to bed I can’t cause I’m just so FIRED UP!

I think it’s important to be excited and positive about where you are in life and where you are going, I believe it shows you are on the right path.  I’ve never EVER felt this great about where we are and where we are going and the most important thing about this is I’m moving in the same direction WITH my wife and not against her.  We are 100% unified and on the same path, and that is amazing.

Mentorship and Coaching

I’ve mentioned before the 95% / 5% split of what we do.  5% of what we do is contract with Amway Global to provide the products that we sell.  However what makes us different from a lot of other training programs for Amway Global and quite frankly business’s around the world is the 95% of what we do which is the mentorship and coaching. 

You take a look at any job you have currently and ask yourself will my boss coach me or mentor me so that I can become better then him?  The answer 99% of the time is going to be no.  We are all stuck in jobs where we punch in and punch out and make the guy at the top, the CEO, all the money.  We trade our time for money on a 1 to 1 ratio and that’s it.  Sound familiar?

We are sewing into and associating with some pretty amazing people who all have great marriages, who love each other fully, who are successful and who want nothing more then for us to succeed.  I don’t know about you but I enjoy hanging around people who are successful.  You are the product of your own environment and if you don’t change that then you won’t change.  Meaning if you and your friends are all just living paycheck to paycheck, paycheck to paycheck, then you will continue to live paycheck to paycheck, paycheck to paycheck.  I’m sorry but if I have an opportunity to change that, I’M GOING TO TRY IT.  In the words of Dave Severen, “Find out what other people are doing, AND DO THE OPPOSITE!” 

I’ve been blessed by our coaches who provide us with so much guidance and mentorship it’s unbelievable.  I don’t know any other job that has provided me with this in my lifetime.  So if you ask me why I am so excited and why I want to share this with other people that’s exactly why.  Do I necessarily care about selling you products?  No, I care about seeing you succeed and making something for yourself, changing your life so that you can have an even better marriage, a better friendship, a better support system and a better life.  The products are just the vehicle for how we get there, but the coaching and mentorship is what will change our lives and make us better people so that we can help others do the same.

That is what sets us apart from all others out there.

Biggest Thing in World Wide Dreambuilders

So apparently the team we are one, the Mike and Brandie Wagner team is quite possibly the biggest thing to happen to World Wide Dreambuilders. That comes direct from Leslie Wolgamott’s mouth to Brad Duncan. How awesome is that that a Canadian team is kicking butt in this business.  I’m so lucky and proud to be affiliated with such a great line of mentors and coaches.  It only helps reaffirm that we will build this business big and we will be free!
