Artistry Kicking it Into High Gear

TeresaPalmerArtistry by Amway announced yesterday they have a new partnership with it’s brand.  Australian actress Teresa Palmer (@tez_palmer). Teresa will be the new Global Face of Artistry skincare and color through to 2014.

This is a major milestone for Artistry I think as it unites the brand across the world.  Artistry is already one of the top 5 prestigious brands and this helps put that recognition in line with other major players advertising.  This along with the recent Miss America 2012 winner Laura Kaeppeler has Artistry very busy at the start of 2012!

Amway Insider quoted Teresa by saying “I’m delighted to work with a brand like ARTISTRY that provides independence to so many women around the world, and does so with amazing products that help us look good and feel good about ourselves,”

Miss America 2012 + Artistry

Tonight is the Miss America 2012 pageant which Artistry from Amway is a huge part of.  The Miss America Organization is the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women.  The Artistry brand is the exclusive skincare and cosmetics provider for Miss America.  Giving back to such a large organization and providing scholarships for these young women is quite an awesome thing. 

Teresa Scanlan has been the official spokesperson of Amway and Artistry where she has brought even more recognition to a great brand of skin care around the world.  She reflects on her year in the below video.

Miss America and Artistry Once Again

Tonight at 9pm Eastern, 7pm Mountain and 6pm Pacific, The Miss America pageant will take place and again like last year Artistry partners up with them. News release from last year. 

 

 

Here is an except of what some of this means:

Skin Care

MensSkinCareNo this is not a product pitch but tonight we were able to take part in a seminar talking about skin care and some of the beauty products we have.  I wasn’t 100% sure I should go to this since it would be all about beauty and skin care and all that girly stuff.  However I found it very informative and to be honest I do take good care of my skin and found out some interesting things.  Even as a guy it’s important that I protect my skin from the sun and free radicals that constantly are trying to damage it and make me look older than I am.  So some interesting facts I found out about skin which you may or may not know:

  • Your skin is considered the largest organ in the human body
  • Your skin is made up of 3 main layers
    • Epidermis, dermis and hypodermis
  • Your skin protects your inside organs while keeping infections out and prevents you from getting sick
  • Your skin loses about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells from the surface almost every minute, even though you do not see it happening
  • Your skin shreds a layer of these dead cells every 24 hours and renews its self about every 28 days
  • Your skin is the thinnest on the eyelid
    • 1mm on eyelids to 3mm on palms and soles
  • Your skin holds about 2-3 gallons of water at a time
  • Skin makes up about 16% of our total body weight
  • Dead skin cells make up about 90% of household dust
  • An average of 40 kilos of skin is shed during a lifetime
  • Much much more

So as you see your skin is pretty important.  It’s also one of the most least cared for part of our body for most people.  Women tend to take care of it a lot better however most people still wash their face with just soap and water which leads to premature aging.  Why?  Because your drying the crap out of your face. 

A proper skin care regime is crucial to help you looking young, without it you’ll look much older then you are and nobody wants that.  I’m not saying you need to use Artistry (which is #4 in the top 5 prestigious brands out there) however whatever you are using make sure your doing the following:

  1. Cleanse
  2. Tone
  3. Treat
  4. Moisturize

Follow those steps with whatever you are following and you’ll help keep that face looking young and smooth.  I’ve used 3 out of those 5 top prestigious brands for the last 10 years so you can’t say I’m just blowing smoke up your butt or trying to promote the products we have.  10 years ago I was introduced to skin care and have never stopped using it.  I’d hate to think what my face would be like now if I didn’t!
