In one word, transparency. While the theme of this year’s Wolgamott Family Reunion was “Impact” the unofficial theme for myself and quite a few others is transparency. Nobody will ever understand the level of transparency my sponsors have with us and the rest of their business. Friday evening our coaches shared some things that in traditional business nobody would have ever shared. While I’m not going to share the details here I can say I’m not surprised they shared what they did and it only increases my level of respect for them 100 fold. I believe that is why at least in the Canada/Alberta market, I can say we are building leaders backed by leaders backed by leaders. It’s why we are the fastest and most solid building business within World Wide Dreambuilders (for the time being). I say for the time being because with all things, people will get sick and tired of hearing what the “Canadian’s are doing” and will take it upon themselves to rise up.
It was apparent by the sold out crowd at the INB Performing Arts Centre in Spokane that people are excited that Leslie has her own Family Reunion. I should say sold out crowd along with 200+ people in the holding room as we busted through the seams. It’s no secret that Family Reunion is one of the lowest attended functions but the vibe was overwhelming. I think now that Leslie has her own family reunion it shows the gaps that need to be filled in Brad Duncan’s Family Reunion where the majority of Canadians were at Leslie’s. It also creates some excitement for Leslie’s organization to grow now that Brad’s organization isn’t over shadowing Leslie’s. All of this is good news and will help foster further growth.
A lot of people shared that while they may not necessarily be where they want to be in business, they know exactly why that is and now exactly how to fix it. Like we always say to people that are going through the process and people we’ve gone into business with, this takes work. If you do the work you will succeed and it’s proven each and every single time. Along with the transparency theme, we are not where we wanted to be obviously and while we know exactly why we are where we are, we know what we must do to move on. Having been to Leslie’s Family Reunion, it’s inspired me almost like a new business owner (IBO). Showing up to the Family Reunion we had no idea where to go, where the Eagle/Double Eagle line up was, where to pick up our badges, etc…So I went in with that attitude and opened up my heart and mind and let the function inspire, uplift and motivate me.
Functions are designed to teach in some areas but also uplift and motivate and it’s everything both my wife and I needed this time around. I find you always get what you need at a function and that’s the beauty of it. I hope those who went this year got what they wanted and they go and grow between now and FED 2012!
Attached are a few pictures of what was an awesome function
