Family Reunion 2012

FamilyReunion2012

As most will know by following a long, World Wide Dreambuilders has four major functions a year.  This time of year is Family Reunion and what makes this year even more special is Leslie Wolgamont has her very own Family Reunion.  This is awesome because World Wide Group doesn’t create extra functions without growth and this is a true sign that Leslie’s business is growing, at least in our area.  No doubt about it as we have a couple of emeralds getting ready to hit Diamond Qualification.

I always find little nuggets from every function that helps me surge ahead or overcome things going on in our business.  You’ll never get everything out of a function, just like you never get everything out of a business conference most of you are used to.  I find the best way to prepare is figure out the 3-5 things you want to get out of the function and focus on that.  I am very excited to hear what the Wagners and Whalens have to say as they are obviously in our direct upline and are just going nuts right now with growth. If I can grab a fraction of what they know and apply it, it will only help us continue to grow.

I’m sure a few less than positive posts will come out on other sites and that’s fine.  I can tell you this, they will have no idea (as will I) what this year’s Family Reunion will be about or how its even done since no new Family Reunions have been done in at least 5 years.  I’ll give a summary recap once the weekend is over.  Safe drive/travel/flight’s to those who are making the trek to Spokane, Washington.

Positive Experiences

PositiveI heard a message the other day that really resonated with me. The premise was really about the fact that just because some people have had negative experiences with World Wide Dreambuilders or Amway doesn’t give them the right to try and take away good experiences people have had with World Wide Dreambuilders and Amway.  It’s not impossible to think people CAN have a good experience with these two companies.  It really all comes down to people, that’s where the issue resides and why you need to make sure you know WHO you are working with.

To be honest the voice of so few people really have no weight at all.  We’ve had a few people that mentioned they read a blog here or there on World Wide Dreambuilders or Amway and we said yeah, there is negative and positive about anything in the world.  It all depends on where you decide on getting your education from.  Do you choose to take information and knowledge from someone you’ll never meet face to face, or do you choose to take knowledge from a real person who will be honest with you and look you in the whites of your eyes.  I’ve mentioned many times before we are very transparent and are upfront and honest with ALL aspects of this business.  I know many other people building this business, at least in the Alberta and Western Canada market that are just that.

Don’t take my word for it, I’m not asking you to believe me, I’m saying ask questions and educated, that is your responsibility.  If your skeptical about something, you should be excited at the opportunity to learn about whatever it is your skeptical about in order for you to make up your own mind. However if you call yourself skeptical but are not willing to gather information, the truth of the matter is you don’t trust yourself enough to make up your own opinion. You choose, be skeptically intelligent or be skeptically unintelligent.

Positive experiences can and do happen here.

Fake It Until You Make It

FakeitUntilYouMakeItI had a “conversation”, really can’t even call it that, with someone today and they mentioned we were in the business of “Faking it until you make it”.  I have to respectfully disagree as there is no benefit at all of faking it, those who build that type of business are people who have no integrity.  We build business with full transparency to the people we’ve gone into business with and because of that have trust and respect.

Sharing our challenges, struggles, pitfalls, mistakes, and all things related only helps others build their business stronger.  What’s funny is that most traditional businesses won’t help someone else and share what made them successful, however we do.  Being transparent only helps build trust and it would be detrimental to our success if we lied to people and sugar coated things.  Sorry that’s not what we do.

Like I’ve always said make sure you interview the person your going into business with and ask lots of questions.  That’s what we did and that’s what we expect of the people we take through an information and qualification process.  Without it and you could find yourself in business with someone that maybe isn’t as forthcoming as you’d like.

Spring Leadership 2012 Recap

It’s been a long time coming but Spring Leadership has finally come and gone at the BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta.  It started with a room of about five couples roughly six years ago who had a dream to have a major function within Alberta and spoke it repeatedly over and over.  Here we are with Alberta’s first World Wide Dreambuilders Spring Leadership.  Around 2,500 people were in attendance which blew away World Wide Group which while prepared, was probably not expecting such an amazing appearance.

With the growth in Alberta soaring, as confirmed by Amway Canada’s Jeff Johnson, there is no doubt that we will double the numbers next year if not more and be in the Coral Centre.  While this is the first Major Function, outside of Dream Night, that we’ve been able to attract, we will attract our very own Free Enterprise Day event in 2013.  Some people who read this blog may rebuke the growth but it’s very apparent that World Wide Dreambuilders is growing, Direct Selling in Canada is growing, and Amway it’s self is growing month over month and year over year.

We’ve got a new spark and are looking at continuing our own growth and contributing towards what is an amazing Canadian movement.

Go and Grow!

Live from Calgary Spring Leadership 2012

The BMO Centre in Calgary is buzzing with excitement for Calgary’s very first World Wide Dreambuilders Spring Leadership. The amount of growth and work this team has put in to get their own major function is astonishing. While this won’t be as large as Spokane where we’ve typically gone, we did get the full World Wide stage! Typically an outreach location doesn’t get the full stage from what I’ve heard. That’s awesome!

Anyway Im looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say including our own leadership who are on the verge of going Diamond. A lot of explosive growth going on in Western Canada and Canada as a whole. Weather you care or not, things are moving in a great way!

If you are here, enjoy the weekend!
