Updated Amway Stats–FED Presented

Figured I’d post a few slides shown by Amway at our recent FED conference.  There are some naysayers out there saying business is slowing down, or business isn’t growing in North America, however here are some stats from the horses mouth as it were showing otherwise.

  • New IBO Applications +12%
  • PV per Engaged IBOs +8% (I’ll assume engaged = active)
  • New IBO PV +7%
  • $50 Fast Track +30% (Fast Track program is now a full time program and has expanded)
  • First year renewal rates were +2%
  • Highest qualification growth rate for the US since 2003

Great growth news for Amway North America.  This also touches on a post done earlier in October by “The Truth About Amway” Blog titled 1222 New Founder Platinum’s and Above for Amway North America!

One last stat to share was World Wide Group / World Wide Dreambuilders (WWDB) had a total new IBO count of just over 19,000.

Off to FED 2011

FED2011

We are on our way today to the Free Enterprise conference in Portland.  On our way we are able to visit with my parents in Southern BC on either side of the event which works out perfect.  W is going to spend the weekend there visiting with his grandparents and they are very excited since they don’t get to see him much.  That works out perfect so that we can focus on the conference and W gets to visit with his grandparents who are always asking for more time with him. Win Win!

I’m quite excited to attend this year, as I was the previous year, coming out of a retirement party we had last night for our personal sponsor.  Stepping away from a noble position as a Fire Fighter for the City of Edmonton is not an easy thing to do, however the ability to become a full time dad trumps that in a heartbeat.  A man that stands on principal, integrity, courage, transparency, marriages, family and living with cashflow are just some of the many qualities that bare the “fruit on the tree” that we seek and I’ll seek out mentorship and coaching from a man like that.

I’m excited to see the growing Canadian leadership speak on a FED stage as we now have two founders emerald’s in Calgary and Edmonton both of which are twenty wide and on track to hit Diamond by next FED. That’s quite exciting as there have not been any new diamonds in awhile and this is just the start.  All indications are showing Amway is continuing to grow from the number of founders platinum’s, to the growth in North America, and lastly hitting double digits in the billions of dollars last fiscal year (still waiting for the official announcement). Exciting times for sure despite what some may say.

There are a lot of things I’m looking to get out of this weekend of which I won’t share now, but will once it’s done.  Have a great weekend!

Focus

Obviously it’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted here and that’s quite alright.  I’ve been promoted yet again at work, three times within two years, which is a direct by-product of my personal growth in the last two years.  Leadership has always been key for me in everything I’ve done through the years and with the additional personal growth I’ve been through recently its in essence put me in almost the top spot I could ever get to in IT.  Pretty much I cannot go any further at my current employer and for me that’s quite alright.  The additional leadership I’ll obtain in this spot will only help me in our other more important endeavours.

So aside from that we’ve actually be re-focusing our energy on our family and our business and that’s about it right now.  We had a recent lull which was fine, we needed to find out our groove and there was no pressure from anyone telling us what we had to do or what we had to go to.  That’s what’s great about our business and what we stand for. Everyone has their own path, their own goals and their own business.  We needed to take some time to figure out how to build this business with a little one and we’ve done just that and things are moving a long great.

I may post less frequently however the posts I do post will be more meaningful and more insightful.  I’m excited for the rest of the year and for what we are doing personally and in our business.  It’s Autumn, with season changes brings fresh beginnings.

Rough Day

bad_dayI had somewhat of a rough day today and while that sucks it’s more important to put the day behind you and start fresh tomorrow.  However there were two things that helped make the last part of my day really good.  One, building our business and investing time into others.  We did a follow up for someone in our business who is building depth and getting out there and getting in front of people who uplift you really turns things around.  I also love working with other leaders who take control of their lives and want to help others as well.  Such a great feeling.

The second thing that really made things better was when I got home from the follow up my wife made Pad Thai and that has to be my favourite dish she makes.  She knows how to make me happy and food is just the way.  I love the fact that my wife knows just what to do when I’ve had a crappy day.  I also know to check my crappy day at the door and not let it bring her down because she had a great day with our son.  I guess that’s also something else that makes me happy, seeing my son.  He just melts my heart and can do no wrong. :)

If you’re having a rough day make sure you leave it at the door, that’s the best advice I can give!
